The Rhode Island Rams went back on the winning track as they defeated Fordham University in the opening game of Atlantic 10 play. The Fordham Rams trailed at half time 33-29. The Bronx team from NYC came to play, and the Rhode Island Rams had their hands full until midway in the second half. Leading only by seven points, Dawan Robinson hit two consecutive three pointers to give Rhode Island a more comfortable 13 point lead. Robinson led all players with 24 points scored and 35 minutes of play. The 6'-3" point guard also had six assists, three steals, and three rebounds. J.R. Moore for Rhode Island had two blocked shots and four points. Dustin Hellenga also had three steals, 13 points and 33 minutes of play. The action photos below tell the rest of the story.
